Profiling William Pace’s service at Valley Forge, and discussing the genealogy controversy surrounding his connection to Richard Pace of Jamestown. In honor of yesterday’s federal holiday celebrating the birthday of President George Washington, I am profiling William Henry Pace, whom we believe is my husband’s 5th great grandfather. Because it is possible that were it not for my husband’s ancestor, Washington might not have lived to become our nation’s founding President.
